Looking for a place to plug in, be yourself, and do something meaningful with other Jewish teens? Welcome to the Jewish Teen Program at Kings Bay Y—your weekly space to explore Israeli and Jewish culture, build friendships, and take part in hands-on experiences that are equal parts fun and purposeful.
● Culture & Conversation: Interactive sessions on Israeli and Jewish life—music, food, holidays, current events, and stories that spark real discussion.
● Hands-On Activities: Art, cooking, creative writing, community projects, and more—programming that rotates to keep things fresh.
● Social Time & Lunch: A relaxed, welcoming vibe with delicious meals so you can refuel and connect.
● Local Adventures & Special Trips: Occasional outings to museums, cultural centers, volunteer sites, and neighborhood gems (parent/guardian permission required).
● Community & Belonging: A judgment-free environment where every teen is seen, heard, and valued.
● Teens in grades 8–12 from any background who are curious about Jewish and Israeli culture.
● No prior knowledge required—just bring an open mind and a good attitude.
● Real Friendships: Meet peers from across Brooklyn and beyond.
● Skills for Life: Leadership, teamwork, and community service opportunities.
● Meaningful Fun: Do good, feel good, and have a blast doing it.
● Sundays, 12:00–2:00 PM, beginning September 28 (ongoing weekly during the school year; breaks align with major holidays).
● Kings Bay Y, 3495 Nostrand Ave, Brooklyn (between Ave U & Ave V). The building is transit-friendly and easy to access.
Free to join. Some optional special trips may have minimal fees; we’ll always share details in advance and offer support as needed.
● Walk-ins are welcome for the first session, but registration is encouraged so we can plan meals and materials.
● New participants can join at any time during the year.
Kings Bay Y is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive space for all teens. If your teen needs accommodations, dietary adjustments, or travel support for trips, please let us know—we’re happy to help.
Participant well-being is our top priority. All programs are staffed by trained professionals, and trips include appropriate supervision and permission protocols.
